Removalist Quote
One crew for the move and the odd jobs
You can keep the jobs you want to do yourself and hand us the moving, maintenance or handyman work you would rather not tackle. We can cover the move, then help with assembly, minor repairs, painting and hanging pictures.
For the moving part of a local job, we match the load to our 4.5 tonne or 10 tonne truck, with rates starting from $80 plus GST per half hour and $90 plus GST per half hour respectively.

What property maintenance covers
Property maintenance covers the jobs that keep a home working and presentable. Around a move, we can repair or replace broken fixtures, clean gutters, mow a lawn, trim hedges or tidy the landscaping. You choose which work belongs in the job.
When the service makes sense
This help suits people with repair or upkeep jobs at the home they are leaving or entering. We need to know which tasks you want included so the quote can separate the moving work from the handyman work.

What the handyman work can include
Handyman work sits outside carrying furniture from one address to another. We can assemble furniture, repair doors or cabinets, install shelves and closet organisers, paint surfaces, and hang pictures or artwork. Larger renovation work needs a different conversation, so the quote request should show the full scope.

Help around a rental move
Rental moves can leave repair and setup work on either side of moving day. We can handle agreed maintenance at the property you are leaving and help set up furniture, shelves or pictures at the next one.
Flag repair concerns early
Broken fixtures, leaks and damaged doors give us a clearer scope than a request for general repairs. Electrical, plumbing or gas work needs a precise description so we can discuss what the job requires before anyone starts.

Keep the move and setup connected
Furniture assembly and wall-mounted items can affect what you pack and what you leave ready for work at the new address. You can put those tasks into the plan from the start. If you pack your own belongings, you can still get boxes, blankets, shrink wrap and tape from us.
Make each room usable
Repairing a door, assembling a table or installing a shelf can make a room usable. We can also unpack if you want help getting belongings out of cartons once the furniture sits in place.

Finish visible jobs before or after the move
We can paint walls, ceilings or doors and repair visible wear on cabinets, windows and fixtures. Some tasks need an empty area, while others can wait until the furniture arrives.
Do not forget the outside jobs
The task list may extend beyond the rooms inside. We can mow lawns, trim hedges, plant, clean gutters and pressure wash exterior surfaces. You choose which outside work belongs in the job.

Give us a task list we can quote
Separate lists for the old and new properties help us quote the right work. They should cover furniture assembly, painting and repairs, along with the moving addresses, load and any packing, unpacking or storage.
We can then put the tasks in order, quote the work you have described and raise scope questions before moving day.

Keep specialised work clear
Carpentry, landscaping, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks do not call for the same work. A leaking tap, damaged cabinet and new light fitting tell us much more than “a few repairs”.
Include the timing that matters
Your moving date and task order matter. Paint needs a clear surface, furniture assembly follows transport, and unpacking works better once each large item has a place. The quote request should include any date constraints.

Furniture assembly and carpentry jobs
We can assemble furniture at the other end, repair doors, windows or cabinets, and install shelves or closet organisers. Naming the relevant items lets us include this work alongside transport.

Painting and hanging items
We can paint the walls, ceilings, doors and other surfaces you name in the job. We can also hang pictures and artwork. The number of rooms, surfaces and items gives us a useful brief.

Plumbing, electrical and fixture work
We can fix leaks, clear drains, install plumbing fixtures, fit lights or outlets, and repair household fixtures. A specific task list lets us discuss the exact work.

Landscaping and cleaning tasks
We can also cover deeper cleaning jobs such as carpets and upholstery. Keeping each cleaning task separate from the landscaping list shows us exactly what you want included.

Put the whole job into one enquiry
Primove can handle the move, with packing, storage and transit insurance available, as well as the property and handyman tasks you select. The enquiry should separate moving work, old-address maintenance and new-address setup.

Questions about moving and handyman work
How do you choose the truck size?
We use the amount you need moved to choose between our two truck sizes. A complete furniture and carton list helps us account for everything in the main load.
How can I pay?
You can pay by major credit card, cash or bank transfer.
What should I tell you about stairs or awkward access?
Your enquiry should note stairs and awkward collection or delivery access. Those details help us understand how the carrying work fits with the rest of the job before we quote it.
Can you help if I do not want to pack everything myself?
Yes. We can pack and unpack, or you can keep part of that work for yourself. The quote form can identify which rooms or belongings you want us to handle.
Can I add transit insurance?
Yes. Primove offers transit insurance. We can explain what applies to your move with the quote.
How far ahead should I book?
Book once your moving date and task list are firm, especially when you want maintenance or packing included. For a public check on reliability, Primove has 4.9 stars from 71 Google reviews.
Moving can be an incredibly stressful experience, but Primove made it much more manageable. My family and I recently booked them to help us move to a new house; from the beginning, it felt like we had nothing to worry about. The customer service was excellent – the team responded quickly to our questions and requests, despite how busy they were. They also took great care to ensure all our items were transported safely and arrived in the exact condition we left them in. Highly recommend Primove to anyone looking for an efficient, reliable and stress-free move!
